Report a risky situation

Don't wait until the situation becomes serious. It's important to alert the people who can help you before there's any danger.

Here are some examples:
  • You are walking in a place that scares you.
  • You run into someone who has been violent before.
  • You go running in an isolated area.
In that case:
  • Press the SOS button to trigger an alert,
  • Tap the Protection icon to specify what you need,
  • Your loved ones receive the alert immediately,
  • They locate you and follow you live,
  • They hear everything happening around you and can talk to you

Alert your loved ones in an emergency

Alert up to 3 protectors simultaneously

Your protectors are people you have chosen. They have agreed to help you if you are in danger. Before you use the app, you explained why you are using it and what you expect from them in case of a problem. They know what their role is and are ready to act.

When they receive your alert, your protectors can:
  • Call emergency services for you or at the same time as you.
  • Give precise information about what is happening to you.
  • Talk to you to advise or reassure you.
  • Come to meet you, if possible and necessary.
When they call emergency services, they will be able to answer important questions about you.

Your protectors know you personally. They can provide your name, age, health issues or personal situation. These are private details that only you and your loved ones know and can share with emergency services to help you as best as possible.

Report evidence of violence

As soon as you trigger an alert, it is recorded automatically

All alerts are saved on our servers from the very first second. This keeps a record of what happened, even if your phone turns off or the alert is stopped.

When the alert has ended:
  • You can replay it and download it from your app.
  • The people you alerted can also replay it for 15 days.
What can you do with the recordings?

Audio recordings can help you explain what happened.
If the recording shows that an offence, crime or infringement occurred, it may be used as evidence in court.

Use an alert to record a conversation

You can trigger an alert just to record what is being said out loud, without wanting help from your loved ones. This can serve as evidence against someone who insults, threatens or harasses you.

Reach out to your loved ones for support

A difficult situation, but no immediate danger?

Some situations can be very hard to live through, even if they don't require emergency services.

For example:
  • You feel very unwell emotionally or physically,
  • The person with you becomes aggressive,
  • You can't call, but you need a loved one to contact you or come to you.

In those cases, you can still send an alert with App-Elles.
Your alert will be sent to your trusted contacts. They can listen, talk to you, come to you or help you handle the situation.

Thanks to this small network around you, you are not alone. The app lets you ask your loved ones for help, even when it's not a medical or police emergency.

Information and advice sheets

In the App-Elles app, you can find advice sheets and useful information.
They are updated regularly to help you respond simply and effectively to situations of violence.

Even if you are not directly a victim, it's important to be informed and prepared.
This makes you ready to help a loved one or someone in difficulty.
Any one of us can become a go-to person in our circle.

Thanks to these sheets, for example, you can:

  • Share a useful address with a friend,
  • Learn basic first-aid gestures,
  • Know what to do if you witness a violent situation.

These tools are here to give you confidence and help you act in the right way.

Meet professionals

Social protection and legal aid programmes can help you out of a situation of violence.

Specialised medical and psychological care helps link the effects of psychological trauma to the violence, understand them, manage them and escape them. The contacts listed in the app let you:

  • Receive support and advice from an organisation,
  • Book an appointment with social, medical and legal support services,
  • Report violence, dangerous behaviour, etc.

These resources are here to help you, listen to you and support you every step of the way.
